Review Root

The idea for Review Root was born by my friend Tobias Kierk, when he was in the process of buying a camera and was spending a lot of time looking for decent reviews of several models. Review Root is a portal for reviews making the job of finding several quality reviews of one or multiple products as easy as can be.

The website is manually updated with new products and reviews through a simple back-end. We chose not to make a crawler based solution, because we wanted to be able to guarantee the quality of the content on the website.

The front end is as can be seen html, css and javascript, keeping it simple and making it easy to index, link and navigate.

I did most of the back-end as well as much of the initial scripting of the front-end, while I to a lesser degree have been involved in the design and styling. I have not been directly involved in getting or maintaining the content.
