Welcome to finnemann.org. My name is Torin, and I have recently finished writing my masters thesis in Computer Science at the University of Aarhus, which means I am entitled to calling myself Cand. Scient! My main interest in Computer Science is in the area of web development, with regards to both technical aspects and usability. My thesis looked into how to do robust location specifiers for the web. Location specifiers are useful for numerous applications, for example augmenting the web with annotations and other types of useful hypermedia tricks not natively supported by WWW. The dynamic nature of the web, however, is a challenge to overcome for such annotations to be useful over time, and the primary focus of the thesis was how to re-localize anchors if the anchors or their context had changed.

I am living in a small appartment with my wonderful girlfriend in the western part of Aarhus, but even if it is a little small, it is quite nice and quite modern. And it is close to a large green area which is great for both walking and running.

This website is a presentation of me and my projects, but it is also meant to be used as a testing ground for the work I do in relation to my hobby projects.
